Apparatus

Responding to emergencies in a rural area requires ingenuity and expertise — and the right equipment. Our fleet, which includes a boat for water rescues and a Polaris ranger for off-road operations, gives our firefighters the tools they need to respond to a range of situations. Most of our territory lies beyond the reach of fire hydrant systems, so we are prepared to pump from natural water sources, and to transport water to the scene of a fire from some distance away if necessary.

Our 85-foot ladder truck is one of just three tower trucks in Delaware County. The basket serves as a sturdy platform from which firefighters can run an elevated stream of water, or conduct rescues high above the ground.
